Wombeyan Caves to Capertee Overnight Tour
If scenery is what you enjoy then this is one of the best off-road weekends close to Sydney. On day one you will enjoy spectacular views over the Kanangra Boyd National Park, Blue Mountains and Wombeyan Caves . We will cover varying terrain including creek crossings, mud and sand. There may even be some interesting extras for the adventurous at heart. Day two the terrain changes totally and includes the pine forests of Sunny Corner and Turon State Forests. Here it’s all about the hills as we discover many challenging ascents and descents with a couple of creek crossings thrown in for good measure. Spend a glorious night under the stars and make a few new friends in the process.
Requirements:
- Vehicle must be fitted with low range capability.
- Snatch strap and rated shackles must be carried.
- Front and rear rated recovery points
- A tyre gauge.
- A UHF Radio. Speak to our office about hiring one if needed.
- Tyres with at least 50% tread. All terrain tyres are an advantage.
- A tent, swag or somewhere to sleep plus your own sleeping bags.
Meals: BYO.
Fuel: A full tank from Mittagong will be fine.
