24 Day canning stock route
24 Day Canning Stock Route Tour
Good Quality Camper Trailers are welcome on this tour / 4x4 with low range required
Easily Australia's most difficult & most remote 4wd trek. This is the real heart of our beautiful country. We start our trek at Yulara (Ayers Rock Resort) before heading for Docker River, Giles Meteorological station and the iconic Old Gunbarrel highway on our way to Carnegie Station and then Wiluna to start the CSR.
We traverse the entire track from Well 1 to well 51 and we also visit Rudall River National Park and the Desert Queen Baths. We conclude our trek by driving the Tanami Track to Alice Springs. This is an extremely remote area and your vehicle will need to be in A1 mechanical condition and will require a mechanical inspection before the trip.
As there are very few facilities you will need to be able to carry large quantities of both fuel and water either in long range tanks or Jerry Cans. Camper Trailers are welcome on this trip but they must be good quality off-road trailers.
